From Cais D'El Rei, in Tancos, you can begin your journey on the City Council's recreational boat to the beautiful Almourol Castle, located on a small island in the Tagus River.

A walking trail along the banks of the Tagus River, connecting the town of Constância and Almourol Castle, from where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Castle.

You can visit the famous Almourol Castle, one of the best-known Portuguese monuments, by crossing on the City Council's recreational boat, which has a capacity of 50 people.

Located on a rocky Islet in the river Tagus, a Templar Castle warrant lift by Gualdim Pais, in the 12th century. Previously, it is believed to have existed a castro lusitano, improved by the Romans. The walls are flanked by ten towers that surround the keep and which gave the set an important defensive capabilities. Inside, there are several monumental doors that make communication between the different parts of the Castle. The access is made by river in a small boat crossing, lasting about five minutes.

This Renaissance church was founded by Dom Pedro de Menezes in 1528. It has a unique facade, where the gable slopes symmetrically down to the pillars, opening into two arches. Of particular note are the carved stonework, the star-vaulted ceiling of the chancel, the early 17th-century tiles, the pulpit, and the wooden balcony.

Rustic and cosy space, with various types of cuisine: Indian, Brazilian, African (the stuff of chicken is one of the specialties) and portuguesa. The décor gives rise to small travel, given the geographical variety that the pieces can be traced. The knitting is exquisite and memorable flavors. Desserts also worthy of reference.

O Ribeirinho, Restaurante e Petiscos Bar, fica em Vila Nova da Barquinha e apresenta-se como uma casa moderna, bem decorada e que se dedica a ser pratos de forte influência regional. Nas paredes há imagens antigas afixadas, que representam bem a ligação à tradição desta casa. A razão de tanta procura a este estabelecimento prende-se com o que o rio dá, seja o sável seja a lampreia, no tempo certo, bem como do peixe do rio que aqui pode ser apreciado frito, grelhado ou em caldeirada. Nas carnes o destaque vai para o cabrito frito, uma receita regional.

This church was built on the 16th century, probably on the same location were previously already existed another temple. It stands out several paintings, such as the ones on the sacristy and on the naves, proceeding from the main altarpiece in the Holly Church, the sixteen hundreds glazed tiles and carving altarpieces.
