A palace built on the site of the demolished Fortress of Our Lady of Conceição, it was acquired in 1868 by the Duques of Palmela in order to build a summer residence there. The project belongs to the English architect Thomas Henry Wyatt. With a revivalist English architecture, this building is covered by masonry. In the main raised wall one can view, above the door, the coat of arms of the family of the Duchess of Palmela.

Rocky Beach separated by a sea arm small enough to pass on foot at low tide. Existing restaurants serve typical dishes at high prices. Private house was formerly condes Castro Guimarães Palace which currently functions as a Museum, having direct access to the beach.

The Strong winch primitive only the outer walls and a stone plaque over the door. This Fort was the defense line of the Atlantic coast.

Tide gauge 19th century circular plant, with cylindrical volumetry covered by a dome semiesférica. Features a back arch portal framework with limestone and two Windows of your chest in a semicircular arch. Inside, you will find the tide gauge itself, a mechanical system based on buoys, sprockets and clockwork.

A pleasant green space, with large lawns and several reasons of interest, namely a juvenile library, a mini-zoo, a children's playground and a picnic area. In the garden one can visit the museum of the counts of Castro Guimarães and the 17th century chapel of Saint Sebastian. It is also known as Parque da Gandarinha.

The Museum-Library that got its donor's name opened in 1930. During the adaptation to museum works they have been careful to keep the atmosphere of a house with its inhabitants and the interior architecture and decor motives have been stressed. Here, you will appreciate works of great artistic and documental value, including art works that picture Cascais, by Portuguese and foreign authors, Indian-Portuguese tableware and an excellent archaeology room. Also a special note to the library, with about 2500 rare volumes, where the most valuable is an illustrated manuscript of the Cronicals of the King Dom Afonso Henriques, of 1505, …
