A forest area on the hill to the south of Chaves, between Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar, that belongs to the Old Massif of Trás-os-Montes, 10 km long.

A typical village with traditional houses, some of which built with pillars of the roman mills. The pillory and the roman mines are worth a visit. Covas was awarded its charter by Dom Manuel I, in 1514.

A viilage located in a scenic area, that has rustic granite houses along irregular streets. The inhabitants are mostly small farmers. The economy is dominated by the chestnut, the cattle and some agricultural products. Located in a granit area, at the Aguiar Valley, there is a castle that dates back to the 9th century. There is a 200 years old musical band, composed of local inhabitants and some who live in the surrounding areas.
