Vila Pouca de Aguiar
The municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, located in a strategic point and road between the mountains and Alvão Padrela, is part of the Alto Tâmega subregion and enjoys great wealth when it comes to historical-cultural heritage. Showing human occupation since the megalithic era, long before the Roman occupation at the end of the 3rd century BC, witnessed by several, dolmens, tumuli, graves and the archaeological remains found in various locations, mainly in the serra do Alvão, the region was successively occupied by Suevi, Visigoths and Muslims.
