Beach with an extensive sand, usually calm, busier at the weekend. It has a children's playground and a horse race is held annually. It is very popular among surfers. Its dune area was excavated to carry out the traditional agriculture of the region: the "masseiras".

Very touristy area with extensive sand beach where a beach soccer tournament is held. There are freshwater and saltwater pools and it is possible to hire bicycles and play tennis. It has a top quality restaurant and the casino is nearby.

Museum space founded in 1937, located in Solar dos Carneiros, the only coat of arms in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim and dating from the 18th century. It is classified as a Property of Public Interest. It is one of the oldest ethnographic museums in Portugal, highlighting the exhibition "Siglas Poveiras", the sacred art collection of the primitive mother church (16th century) and the collection of archaeological pieces (such as the Roman inscriptions from Beiriz).

This 18th century chapel with a hexagonal plan stands out for being located right on the sandy beach of Miramar. It was built in 1686 on a rock and is considered a place of worship and pilgrimage, namely through the Pilgrimage of Domingo da Santíssima Trindade, one of the largest and most charismatic in the county.

The primitive monastery, called Monastery of São Salvador de Grijó, was founded in 922 in the place of Muraceses. It was only in the year 1112 that it was moved to its current location. In 1770 the convent was extinguished, passing its assets to the Convent of Mafra. Of note are the gilded carvings and the 18th century tiles in the chancel, as well as the pipe organ, from the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century. Also noteworthy is the tomb of D. Rodrigo Sanches, classified as a National Monument.

With a privileged location, close to Ribeira de Gaia, Douro Marina is more than a marina. With the capacity to receive and accommodate 300 vessels, it has a gas station and a workshop for their maintenance and repair, in addition to providing, through specialized companies, boat trips for groups. In the surrounding area, there are restaurants and terraces, where you can enjoy the landscape and quietness of the Douro River.

The Gaia Cable Car is, at the same time, a means of transport and a tourist tour. It connects Praça da Super Bock, in Cais de Gaia, with Jardim do Morro, on Avenida da República, next to Jardim do Morro Station of the Porto Metro. There are 12 cabins with capacity for eight people each, covering 562 meters during the five-minute trip.

It was founded in 1345 by a noblewoman from Gaia, Maria Mendes Patite, who handed it over to the S. Domingos Order. In the 17th century, with the floods in the Douro River, the Monastery underwent profound changes and ended up being extinguished in 1834, leading to the construction, in the second half of the 17th century, of a new temple. With a unique architecture, the Choir stands out inside, with an imposing ceiling decorated with oil paintings. With an extensive sand beach, where boats are “parked” by the sea, Aguda beach is also known for the richness of the dunes and abundant vegetation.
