Largest artificial lake in Europe, originating from the Alqueva dam, located on the Guadiana river. The reservoir reaches, at its maximum level, 250 km², investing in infrastructure to support tourists. Here you can practice several sporting and leisure activities.

Also known as Termas de Sulfúrea, they are located approximately one kilometer to the southeast of the village. It is known that these waters were used by the Romans, and there are even traces of an ancient bathhouse, probably from the time of Caesar Augustus (119 BC). These medicinal waters are used to treat skin, respiratory, rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.

River that originates in Serra de São Mamede, in the municipality of Portalegre, passes through Arronches and Gaia and flows into the right bank of the Guadiana, in Elvas.

Dam opened in 1976, belonging to the Port Wine region, downstream of Cachão da Valeira, about 6 km upstream of the Tua River.

The Tua River is a tributary on the right bank of the Douro River and results from the junction of the Rabaçal and Tuela rivers. The approximately 57 km length flow into the Douro River.

The Bouçã dam is located next to the town of Bouçã and uses the flow of the Zêzere river. Construction ended in 1955.

Near Foz de Alge (Alge river) are the Fragas or Penhas de São Simão. In addition to the beautiful landscape that surrounds it, you can see, from here, the ruins of blacksmiths, dating back to the 18th century.

The fame of these spas dates back to Roman times, but the first written reference dates back to 1884. Located in upper Minho, it provides rest and the treatment of some illnesses. Being the only thermal resort in the Algarve, Caldas de Monchique is located at an altitude of 350 meters and 20 kilometers from the Algarve coast, in the middle of the Serra de Monchique.
