A group of granite rocks that overlooks the thermae canyon. Its views are overwhelming. It is located at an altitude of 834 metres.

Also known as Jardim da Sereia, was once part of the fence of the monastery of Santa Cruz and dates back to the 18th century. The entrance to the Garden is through a triumphal arch, surmounted by three statues representing faith, hope and charity. The arch is still flanked by two turrets of Baroque decoration. The terrace of "The game" continues with its scenic waterfall in the background. The source of the Nogueira with a statue representing a Merman (popularly confused with a mermaid) by opening the mouth to a dolphin.

Belvedere located 335 metres high, offering a dazzling landscape over the city of Funchal, with the desert Islands as a background.

In 1863, practically 100 years after th construction of the palace, Francis Cook asked Francis Birt to create the Monserrate Park. The park has thousands of trees and plants from different locations in the world. The most exotic come from Japan (bamboos) and from America (yuccos). A special note as well to the several grottos, waterfalls, lakes and corners of the park.

A village with schist houses, located in an area with many natural belvederes. A place of great natural beauty and a very special charm, partly because it is semi-abandoned. A brook that has th same name as the village crosses it. It has a small chapel.
