The pedestrian walk may start at the Monastery of Saint João of Arga, after a brief visit of that building. Follow the Vezeira Trail, a typical trail where the cattle used to pass in the days of old. The Arga Mountain has a wide high plain on the top, the Chã Grande. At that point, there is a trail that is signaled by the Clube de Celtas do Minho (Celts Club of Minho), according to the criteria of the Federação Portuguesa de Campismo (Portuguese Camping Federation). Natural monument depicting footprints of Dinosaurs, considered an important fossil record of the Jurassic period, more precisely, of the sauropod dinosaurs. Be sure to visit the old grocery store, where they acquire various kinds of bread here produced. Tertulias and temporary exhibitions are frequent activities of the Museum.

The Fundação Maria Isabel Guerra Junqueiro and Luís Pinto de Mesquita Carvalho, placed in front of the Museum-House with the same name, is a private foundation without lucrative ends, which includes a large bibliographic heap of Guerra Junqueiro, her daughter and son-in-law. The palace, dated from the XVII century, where this foundation is placed, is open to visit the permanent exhibition or any other events happening there, always regarding the life and work of the Portuguese writer.

Located at dock nº 2 of the former Parry & Son, in Cacilhas, the Frigate D. Fernando II e Glória is a 19th century vessel, the last ship of the "Carreira da Índia", and can be visited throughout the year. There, it is possible to learn about the history of the museum ship, which was restored in 1992, after a fire destroyed part of it, in 1963, and was open to the public at EXPO 98. Through an audio guide, it is possible to delve into naval history and travel back in time.
