Évora has, since December 2011, an extension of the clock Museum of Serpa, the Palace Barrocal, next to Praça do Giraldo. There are about 400 mechanical watches that can be seen in that noble space, such as a workshop of Restoration. Fruit of a passion of António Tavares d'Almeida, the collection has more than 2,200 timepieces from 1630 until 2012, and an endless number of stories to see and hear.

Built in the XIX century, in a neoclassical style, the palace was the permanent residence of the King D. Luís, his wife and his children, which lived here on the second half of eight hundred. The throne-room, the supper-room and the “Despacho” room are preserved as in the time of the Royal family. The museum exhibits collections of decorative arts from the XIX century, silvers, paintings, tapestry and furniture.

The church is due to King Sebastião who, by charter of 1571, ordered it to be built. It is a temple with a tripartite facade, with a galilee opening in the central body. The lateral bodies are made up of imposing bell towers. Interior of three naves with round arcades and stone pilasters. The Baroque carved altars, the Estremoz marble altarpiece and Mannerist paintings from the end of the 16th century deserve special attention.

Tumulus quite visible in the landscape, located a few meters from the road which connects Pitons to Tourém, belonging to the Megalithic Necropolis of the Mourela plateau. Features 18 meters in diameter maximum, a very sharp central depression, where you identify a few tumbled stones, but only one seems to be a mainstay. It is the largest tumulus of all the four tumuli of Fraga da Moura.

This church has a rectangular plan and it is covered by polychrome glazed tiles from 1660, a bell ringer tower and an apse articulating four chapels. IT preserves the Manueline Calvary in marble and several sculptures. The main chapel possesses coverage in lancet vault with corbels decorated by wall paintings. The main altarpiece is with composite columns articulating niches filled with covered foot with the respective images.

This church is linked to a popular tradition that tells that the waters of the Tejo have, at the time of the earthquake, advanced and endangeered the population. Thus, the fishermen have grabbed the image of the patron saint that made them miraculously go back and saved them from the tsunami. The façade is typical of the post-earthquake times. A special note to the sun clocks on the left tower, some of the finest exemplaries in the region.

This is a church within the rural type in which stands out, on the main façade, the Manueline doorway in full arch framed by conic shaft. On the sides there is a shed with Tuscan columns. The inside has one only nave and it is covered with seventeen hundreds glazed tiles with scenes from Christ’s life. It is also worthy to mention the altar in baroque carving, the baptismal font and the painted ceilings.

Commissioned by King Afonso II in 1215, this church was destroyed by an earthquake in 1429 and rebuilt from 1433 onwards. In the last quarter of the 15th century, the tombs of Don Diogo and Don Lopo were built here. Of particular note are the Gothic triumphal arch, the 16th-century tombs, the Mudéjar tile panels, and part of the original altarpiece. In 1921, the Abrantes Regional Museum was established here.
