Lookout point located on top of the Bom Jesus near the Shrine, where you can see a large part of the city, in addition to the famous 19th century water-powered lift.

The Falésia viewpoint, in the parish of Caniço de Baixo, is a place where you can see all the beauty of the sea and the surrounding region, the Galo bathing set and, in the background, the Desertas Islands.

Wide green space that has an aquaculture station for raising trout that are later transferred to many of São Miguel's lakes and streams. In this pleasant park it is possible to see deer, peacocks and pheasants.

This building was built by the corregedor Francisco de Almada e Mendonça to serve as Casa Pia, the year was 1790. This had various uses such as: prison of recruits and military criminals, secretariats and offices belonging to the garrison at the port, where resided the Bachelors official Royal police guard and North region headquarters (installed on the north side of the building).
