A rectangular Baroque fountain with a pilastered frontispiece topped by bonfires. It is located in a central spot in the village, in Praça da República. It features an 18th-century coat of arms flanked by two sculptures. The fountain has six spouts, represented by heads and lions, named the Spout of the Witches, Saint Anthony, Lovers, Kings, Saint Peter, and Saint John.
Capela da Boa-Nova / Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Assunção da Boa Nova

Founded by the vow of Dona Maria, wife of Alfonso XI of Castile, it is a fully vaulted Greek cross chapel-fortress. At the top of the main façade stands a bell tower with a bronze bell. The building is topped, all around, by a coronation of merlons and battlements of a clearly defensive nature. Also notable are mural paintings depicting figures of saints, according to nineteenth-century copies, framed by stucco moldings.

Located atop a hill, this castle was part of the Guadiana River defense line. It consists of a walled enclosure with turrets, a keep, and two gates, one flanked by towers. Documentary accounts attribute the construction of this castle to King John I, who integrated the town into the Patronage of the Order of Aviz. It was severely damaged during the Castilian Wars and the 1755 earthquake.

Medieval castle with a significant keep. Noteworthy in this fortification is the gate flanked by towers and a horseshoe arch made of local marble. The Torre da Cadeia and Porta Legal feature remains of Moorish architecture and Gothic tombstones commemorating the work. Located overlooking the village, from here, guests can enjoy beautiful views of the region.

Of the original Moorish castle, later renovated by King Dinis, only traces of the enclosure remain. Built during the Restoration Wars, the bastions lowered the defensive lines to the vicinity of the Guadiana River, a natural border. Of the existing buildings, the old Town Hall and the Senate House, in ruins, stand out.
