Este bolo, considerado o ex-líbris da cidade de Ovar, tem origens conventuais, sendo confecionado desde o século XVIII. Nessa época, os ovarenses que viviam da faina criaram o hábito de presentear clientes e amigos com este pão-de-ló, que era transportado para Lisboa em canastras próprias. Este bolo delicioso tem o formato de uma broa, de massa leve e fofa, e é envolvido em papel de linho branco. É também comercializado em pequenas caixas amarelas com uma colher, ideal para ser saboreado no momento.

No restaurante João da Longueira, em Almograve, as entradas de amêijoa à Bulhão Pato, o camarão frito e as saladas de polvo e de ovas são convidativas. Nos principais o destaque vai para os arrozes de marisco e de tamboril, a açorda de gambas e a cataplana de tamboril com amêijoas. Conte ainda com carne de porco à alentejana, os secretos de porco preto e as migas. Nas sobremesas o destaque vai para a musse de chocolate e para o doce da casa feito à base de natas, leite condensado e café.
