Located to the northeast of Montalegre, it belongs to the Old Massif. It measures 10 km and it is the second highest mountain in Portugal, with its peak at an altitude of 1527 metres, at the Fonte da Pipa (Barrel Fountain). From the top, one views the Lima, Tâmega, Cávado and Rabagão valleys, as well as several villages and the small town of Montalegre. Besides the landscapes, there are also horses and one can do mountain sports, such as hang gliding, paragliding, climbing and walks.

A beach located in a fishing village, nestled in a small valley with a paradisiacal landscape. Nestled between cliffs, it is bisected by the Ceixe River, which separates the Alentejo from the Algarve. Barriers were built in the sand to try to secure the dunes. The water is cold and choppy, but offers excellent conditions for surfing and canoeing. There are a few restaurants serving traditional dishes. A stroll through downtown Odeceixe, a trip on the tourist train, or a stop at the Ponte Branca viewpoint are recommended.

Hidden from the city of Horta by Monte Queimado, Porto Pim Beach has soft, black sand, very typical of these volcanic islands. The bay of Porto Pim is, without a doubt, a place of rare beauty. Monte da Guia and the aforementioned Monte Queimado constitute natural barriers to the entry of sea water, making these waters calm and deep blue. Its green spaces and fortification, make that bathers consider it the best beach on the island.

The Stupa Tashi Gomang, a temple belonging to the Guhya Mantrika Buddhist community, is located in the Santa Susana Retreat Center in Alcácer do Sal. It is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the Western world, standing 16 meters tall with an internal temple measuring 36 square meters, prepared for rituals, ceremonies, and lectures. Among the materials used in its construction, Alentejo marble stands out. The decoration, particularly the statues, originates from Tibet and Nepal.

When you enter in Leiria you can’t avoid noticing the castle that, from the top, seems to welcome those coming into the city. Conquered to the Moors in 1135, by D. Afonso Henriques, the castle passed, for many years, from hand to hand between Moors and Christians. In 1190, D. Sancho I ordered its reconstruction. Later in 1325 D. On select days, it's possible to climb to the Lidador Tower viewpoint, where the City Hall services are located, and enjoy a privileged view of Maia and the entire Porto Metropolitan Area. Inaugurated in 2001 and standing 92 meters tall, this is the 5th tallest building in the country and the tallest outside Lisbon.
