Chapel built around 1623 in honor of the victory of the people of the island after a landing of Barbary pirates, in 1623 in Porto Afonso.

Also known as the cross of San Sebastian, this Manueline cruise presents 13.64 meters in height, seating at the top a sphere and a cross with 1.38 meters high. Some authors believe have been this cross that gave the name to the village.
