Centro Nacional de Cultura

The National Centre of Culture (CNC) is a space for meeting and dialogue among the various ideological and political parts, defending a free and multidisciplinary culture. A great deal of its action is devoted to defend the Portuguese cultural patrimony, to divulging the role played by Portuguese culture in the world and to the updating of its relations with other cultures. This is made through exhibitions, publications, learning courses, cultural study trips and debates. The CNC organizes guided tours for class students and to foreign groups (with personal programmes), as well as pedestrian circuits in the historic areas of the city (Lisbon Walks).
