Founded in 1984 by the Lourinhã Ethnology and Archaeology Group, the Lourinhã Museum boasts the largest collection of Upper Jurassic dinosaur fossils in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the most important in the world.

The Associação Musical e Arística Lourinhanense, that includes the Banda da Lourinhã, founded in 1878, was created in 1988.
Museu do Grupo Etnográfico e Arqueológico da Lourinhã
An ethnographic museum, with local craftsworks and regional daily objects. The archaeology part includes skeletons and petrified dinossaur eggs.
