Trilho de Santa Maria das Júnias
A pedestrian trail that may start at Pitões das Júnias and end in the village of Paredes do Rio, on the eastern side of the National Park Peneda-Gerês. The trail includes the passage by the ruins of the old monastery of Saint Maria das Júnias, the monumental waterfalls at the Campesinho Brook and the houses at Parada do Outeiro, by the dam. A trail surrounded by lush vegetation and by blue waters. The trail is recommended in the spring or in the summer due to the steep and occasionally slippery ground. It is four kilometres long and lasts approximately one and a half hours.
