Pousada Castelo de Óbidos

Elected as one of the seven wonders of Portugal, Óbidos is surrounded by a fantastic environment, full of history, legends and secrets. Inserted within the walls, which date back to the 12th century, this was the first pousada to be born of a building with the sort of national monument. In 2012, the Pousada de Óbidos won eight more new rooms, featuring a total of 17 rooms. These rooms are located in a new wing, next to the Castle, offering plenty of natural light, fireplace for those cold days and classical décor, with two of them also has a magnificent view of the fortress. The new rooms, with names of Kings and Queens that have passed through the historic village of Óbidos, join the existing nine rooms, decorated in medieval style, with four-poster beds and stone walls, creating a unique ambience, reminiscent of princes and princesses. The night reveals a unique garden lighting, printing a heady romanticism to the site.
