Parque Ambiental de Ribeira de Pena

The environmental Park of Ribeira de Pena, in place of payroll officer, was opened in March 2007, following a strategy of preservation, promotion and dissemination of natural and environmental resources of the County. In its 18 acres cohabit several species of fauna and flora, and we can find tree zones of native species (pine, oak, birch, poplar, ash, chestnut ...), as well as two centers of interpretation and a environmental workshop. The visitor also has at its disposal of aromatic and medicinal plants which can acquire the symbolic price. The characteristic culture of flax has placeholder in this park, with an area of cultivation of this product which may be visited. There are also equestrian and walking routes and several replicas of municipal heritage features, such as the wire Bridge and a mill.
