Located in the Centre of Portugal, framed by the mountains of Estrela, Lousã Buçaco and Caramulo, the County Board consists of small hills, valleys, rivers and streams that pass through. Composed of 15 parishes, its landscape is characterised by the existence of typical villages in granite, many solar and palaces and agricultural areas. Patrimonially, marks archaeological remains that attest to the occupation of the municipality. Churches and "pelourinhos classified are many, scattered over all the parishes, without forgetting the river beaches and mineromedicinal waters of São Geraldo da Várzea. In gastronomy is imperative to speak of queijo da serra, produced in Midões, Greaves, and the stomach, tiborna always accompanied by wines of the Dão. The craft includes pottery pieces, musical instruments, handloom work and basketry.

Miradouro do Penedo C'Abana
This belvedere, composed of a group of rocks on the hillside by the Mondego river, has magnificent views that include the neighbouring parish of Carregal do Sal.
Palácio de Midões
This House with coat, which belonged to the second Viscount of Midões lies in a poor state of conservation.
Miradouro Pedra da Sé
This belvedere is located on the parish's boredrline, on one of the hillsides that leads to the Aguieira reservoir. From the granit rocks of the Pedra da Sé one has magnificent views of the reservoir.
Miradouro do Monte de São Bráz
This belvedere has views of the village of Barrosa and, when the days are clear, the Estrela Mountain.
Praia Fluvial da Ronqueira
This beach, located on the banks of the Alva river, has no sand but, after crossing the bridge, it has better conditions. It has a cafe, a terrace and several shady spots.
Centro Hípico de Midões
