Tábua

Located in the Centre of Portugal, framed by the mountains of Estrela, Lousã Buçaco and Caramulo, the County Board consists of small hills, valleys, rivers and streams that pass through. Composed of 15 parishes, its landscape is characterised by the existence of typical villages in granite, many solar and palaces and agricultural areas. Patrimonially, marks archaeological remains that attest to the occupation of the municipality. Churches and "pelourinhos classified are many, scattered over all the parishes, without forgetting the river beaches and mineromedicinal waters of São Geraldo da Várzea. In gastronomy is imperative to speak of queijo da serra, produced in Midões, Greaves, and the stomach, tiborna always accompanied by wines of the Dão. The craft includes pottery pieces, musical instruments, handloom work and basketry.
