Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar

Built on a scarp above the Douro River (Pilar Sierra, also known as Quebrantões Sierra) and having the city of Oporto in the background, the monument is a former convent of the Santo Agostinho observing prebendary, founded in 1537. This work suffered significant transformations that modified the initial project. The inside lodges carving works and sculptures from the 18th century.
