Como o nome indica, esta queda de água localiza-se perto da Portela do Homem, na freguesia de Campo do Gerês. É um local de grande beleza natural e muito procurada no verão pelas suas águas cristalinas.

A restaurant located in the village of Brufe, in a terrain on the valley of the Homem river. It is na infrastructure with a modern architecture hidden on the Gerês hillside. With a peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views, it serves delicious dishes such as the kid and the "barrosã" veal, that feed freely along the fields and slopes of Brufe. The Abocanhado is a double pleasure.

Space that has been handed down from generation to generation and which provides a family atmosphere. The typical cuisine of the region is of great quality, be expected from budget hotel in wood stove.

This is a joint of Milestones some of which from Tito-Domiciano, Nerva,Trajano or Adriano. Here it is possible to read the miles XXXIII, XXXIIII, XXXV or XXXVI that were counted starting from Bracara Augusta. This via, probably built on the last third of the I d. C. century, connected Bracara Augusta (Braga) to Asturica Augusta ( present Astorga, in Spain) and presents a route with around 215 miles (318 Kilometres).

At this point one may take photographs of one of the prettiest landscapes in the parish, among the most impressive in Portugal. At an altitude of 829 metres, it has views of the entire Gerês valley and the Caniçada reservoir.

At a distance of about 20 km from Terras de Bouro, on the southernmostr area of the Gerês mountain, the Arado waterfall is part of a lovely group of waterfalls and numerous brooks of the Peneda-Gerês Natural Park. The Arado waterfall stands out because the water falls on several hedges. It can be acceded by the EM (Nogueira/Portela do Vade), at a distance of 7 km from the waterfall.

A beautiful, luxurious forest, that represents the primitive forest. There is a also a trouts pool. In the summer the passing of cars is conditioned, sinc this is considered to be the only "virgin" forest in Portugal.

A Cascata Fecha de Barjas, mais conhecida por Cascata do Tahiti, localiza-se em Vilar da Veiga e as suas águas são provenientes do Rio Arado. O seu acesso não é fácil, só sendo possível por caminhos pedestres algo sinuosos, mas vale a pena pela beleza natural do local.

Possui uma zona para tendas e outra com alvéolos para caravanas e auto-caravanas. Foi criado por montanhistas para montanhistas com atividades de montanha na Serra do Gerês. Localizado numa das últimas aldeias comunitárias de Portugal, visa também dar a conhecer usos e costumes ancestrais, tais como a transumância do gado, "vezeira", a "roda" das cabras, o "aviar" da água, bem como divulgar saborosas "noite no lagar" comunitário, onde todos podem participar no processo do azeite.

Localizada na margem da albufeira da Caniçada, depois da ponte que liga Rio Caldo à Vila do Gerês, esta praia fluvial foi distinguida com qualidade de Ouro pela QUERCUS.
