Hidden from the city of Horta by Monte Queimado, Porto Pim Beach has soft, black sand, very typical of these volcanic islands. The bay of Porto Pim is, without a doubt, a place of rare beauty. Monte da Guia and the aforementioned Monte Queimado constitute natural barriers to the entry of sea water, making these waters calm and deep blue. Its green spaces and fortification, make that bathers consider it the best beach on the island.

Initially built as the Jesuit College Church, the first stone was laid in 1652. However, construction only began in 1680. The buildings that flank it were never finished and today houses the Museum of Horta and the City Hall. The church became a parish church in 1825, due to the advanced state of degradation of the previous church. The church's facade is made up of four floors and its interior is made up of a single nave and three interconnecting chapels.

Monte da Guia, next to the Senhora da Guia hermitage, more than a hundred meters above sea level, is a privileged place to enjoy the Porto Pim area and the city of Horta, with its marina. Dividing these two areas of interest, you can see Monte Queimado.

Space overlooking Fajã da Ribeira das Cabras, presenting a unique panoramic view of it: the white houses and the cultivation area, "asphyxiated" between the jagged coast and the steep cliffs. A unique painting that is worth appreciating.

Viewpoint located just outside the city of Horta, which runs along both sides of the main road, in a completely antagonistic view. On one side you can see Praia do Almoxarife and the rural landscape. On the other, the city of Horta in all its splendor, with the marina and Monte da Guia in the background.

Set of three rotating windmills, located at the top of Lomba da Conceição. The wooden structure, as well as the access stairs, are painted red, from which the masts and sails emerge (two with grid sails and one with triangular sails). The landscape that can be captured from these mills is of rare beauty.

The Caldeira, a crater 2000 meters in diameter and 400 meters deep, results from the volcanic nature of Faial Island. It's a beauty for the eyes, as long as the weather conditions alow it. Inland, the diversity of botanical habitats deserves to be highlighted: laurel forest, cedar forests, peat bogs, reeds, among others.

Created in 1986 on a former agricultural farm, the Faial Botanical Garden is dedicated to the conservation of landscape biodiversity and environmental education and awareness. Occupying an area of approximately 8000 square meters, you can find, in this space, the natural flora of the Azores (coastal vegetation, medium altitude vegetation, altitude vegetation and vegetation of ravines and sheltered areas), ornamental and exotic plants and an area of medicinal plants.
