The most well-known viewpoint in Nazaré is located in Sítio, at a place called Promontório. This rock formation rises abruptly from Nazaré beach and is the plateau where Sítio da Nazaré is located, reaching a maximum height of 110 meters.

The submarine valley known as the Nazaré Canyon is the largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Cutting across the continental shelf in a roughly east-west direction, it extends for more than 170 km in length and reaches a depth of over 5,000 meters in the abyssal plain where this canyon flows into the sea. This spectacular geomorphological feature of tectonic origin, related to the Nazaré-Pombal fault, begins to take shape about 500 meters from the coast. The museum, inaugurated in 1996 in the right wing of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, in the former Dispatch House, exhibits liturgical objects, silverware, statuettes, historical documents, and vestments, mostly from offerings made by devotees to Our Lady of Nazaré.

This house-museum, dedicated to the fishermen of Nazaré, was inaugurated on December 11, 1999, and is the result of a private initiative by a Nazaré native who loved the traditions of his land. It represents the exterior and interior of a typical fisherman's family home, linked to the sale of fish in the 1930s and 1950s. Inside, one can see household utensils and furniture representative of the art of fishing, as well as some miniatures of Nazaré boats from that period.

At the far end of the Sítio Promontory, overlooking the North beach, King Sebastian ordered the construction of the São Miguel Fortress in 1577 to defend the cove from pirates. It was later rebuilt by order of Philip II in 1600. Its current layout was commissioned by King John IV during the restoration of the monarchy. The funicular railway connects the lower part of Nazaré to Sítio, covering a total of 318 meters. It was inaugurated in 1889, as the difficulty of access to Sítio always hampered the development of the area and the settlement of its inhabitants. In 1963, after a major accident, it was out of service for several years, returning to service in 1968. In the 21st century, the carriages were renovated for greater comfort and safety for the more than one million users who use this means of transport annually.

Norpark is located next to Praia do Norte, in Sítio da Nazaré, and offers a wide range of water activities and entertainment. Housed in an early 20th-century building, the former residence of the writer who gives it its name, this museum is essentially regional in character, featuring very heterogeneous collections and temporary exhibitions. The collection encompasses ethnography, archaeology, painting, sculpture, and photography. Within this space are objects from the Paleolithic period to the present century, which primarily depict the maritime life of Nazaré, the history of the town, and the Marian devotion to Our Lady of Nazaré.
