Castro surrounded by a wall, probably with an acropolis surrounded by another internal wall. Nearby are the necropolises of Tanchoal and Meijão, which must belong to the Iron Age, with ashes and artifacts. This set includes the village of Alto do Castelo, which presents a sequence of occupations from the Chalcolithic to the Roman period, and the village of Cabeço da Bruxinha, which does not have a defined chronology.

Vast natural reserve, whose main attraction is the Sorraia horses. The space privileges contact with Nature. It has lakes, where water birds can be seen, woods, a garden center and falconry.

Space belonging to José de Mascarenhas Relvas, writer, musician, musicologist and art collector, among other interests that led him to create this space of great richness and beauty. It presents a heterogeneous art collection: paintings, furniture, earthenware, porcelain, tapestries and bronzes.

Stud farm linked to the former Royal Stud Farm, founded in 1748 by King João V, with the aim of producing good quality horses. After two and a half centuries ensuring the evolution and preservation of the breed, the Stud Farm of Alter is the oldest Portuguese stud farm and, in the world, the one that has operated in the same location for the longest time: Coutada do Arneiro in Alter do Chão.

Covered infrastructure with medium-sized swimming pool, changing rooms, jumping pool and supervised children's pool. The Alter do Chão Swimming Club is based here.

Space with a wide variety of plant species and children's playground. It is located in the center of the village of Alter do Chão and is decorated with a small water fountain.

Located on a cliff 400 meters above sea level, Alter Pedroso is an ancient village, six kilometers from the municipal seat (Alter do Chão) and around twenty from the city of Portalegre. Of particular note are the remains of the old castle, the church with baroque remains and the houses featuring popular and well-preserved architecture. Nearby there is a tourist hunting area. Also, noteworthy is the Talefe or Alter Pedroso natural viewpoint.

Ribeira de Seda originates in Serra de São Mamede and crosses the municipalities of Portalegre and Crato, entering Alter do Chão and then flowing into the Maranhão dam, in Avis.

Several medieval portals stand out along this street.
