In the Tagus marshes, and covering the Municipality of Golegã, next to the Almonda River, Paul do Boquilobo is an alluvial plain of swamps of great faunal and floristic importance. Here the water rises and falls, is still or moving and the land area increases and decreases depending on the season. It all depends on the flow of the Tagus and Almonda rivers. It is a privileged nesting site for numerous species of water birds (cattle heron and white heron), in a landscape dominated by willows (white and black) and aquatic plants (Caniço).

Palácio da Bolsa was built in the mid-19th century by the Porto Commercial Association. In a Neoclassical style, this building reflects the commercial flourishing of the city of Porto. All the compartments on the main floor offer details that prove the enormous sumptuous interest: in the furniture, in the chandeliers and above all in the ceilings, some made of valuable wood. However, all covered with a thin film of gold, the Arab salon is the room that best crowns the large investment of the 19th century Porto bourgeoisie.

The original recipe for "Pastéis de Tentúgal", once known as puff sticks, belonged to the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Natividade (Carmelo de Tentúgal). Later, after the closure of the Convent, the recipe and secret of making this sweet were taught to Dona Maria da Conceição Faria. Since then, production has grown, maintaining the same characteristics of the original recipe. This delicious pastry is today one of the icons of the old town of Tentúgal.

It is divided into the swampy area itself and a surrounding area, where there are agricultural and forested areas. It extends over 233 hectares, with a maximum altitude of 25 meters.
