It is an extensive stretch of sand, between the sea and the Ria Formosa, located about 9 km from Faro city. Access is by boat, from Faro, or by car, crossing the only existing bridge for this purpose, with alternating traffic, which generates long queues. The different constructions took away some natural beauty, but brought more animation and structures to serve the tourist in the summer. The sand is narrow and relatively uneven. It has excellent conditions for rowing, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, etc.
Extensive beach, which can only be accessed by boat. Both the river and ocean beaches have good quality water and an enchanting landscape. To get to the beach, one walks between the houses on a cement floor. The waters are transparent, very calm and attractive. The landscape contemplates the lighthouse and two piers. For those who prefer not to make the trip every day, there is information that it is possible to rent a house in this location.
A very touristy, somewhat rocky beach, located just beyond Porto Covo and directly across from the island that gives it its name. There are several restaurants serving local snacks.
Sandy beach with rocky outcrops, very sought after by vacationers locations, given the good conditions and the services it provides. Usually be sought also for recreational and sporting activities, spearfishing and sport fishing.
Beach with clear and calm waters with a jetty to access the sea and two access ramps to the beach. It has a restaurant, three bars, a children's playground and a volleyball court.
