This church is dated from the 18th century and it possesses a pentagonal plan and a portico topped by a big window that is inserted in the baroque period. On the inside it displays images from Maria six pains and a seventh figure is placed close to the altar.

This temple is preceded by an ample porch, topped by a Sun watch from 1738. On the main door it is possible to observe a baroque escutcheon with the biretta and the crosier allusive to the Saint. The inside is totally covered by glazed tiles from the 17th century.

Rua Ferreira Borges spans from the toll to the Church of Santiago and, from this, extends to Rua Visconde da Luz until May 8 square. Along these streets you can find several buildings with architectural interest.

This is a replica of the original pillory, built in the 21st century. Primitive pelourinho, dating from the 16th century, there are only three pieces from the capital and his shot, which lie in the Municipal Museum. It was reconstructed by sculptor Eugene M.

The Mendro Hill separates the Baixo Alentejo region from the Alto Alentejo and is located in the limits of the districts of Évora and Beja, between Vidigueira and Portel, and belongs to the Old Massif to the south of the Tagus river. Its hillsides are tree covered and one may view, from the Mendro hill, on the foothills, a lovely panorama to the south, from Vidigueira, Beja, harvest lands and olive trees.

It features permanent and temporary exhibitions, including collections of 15th and 16th-century paintings, sculptures from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In addition to these collections, it also displays ceramics, jewelry, and tiles from various periods, totaling approximately 20,000 pieces. One of the new features of the museum is the Flemish altarpiece room, which recreates scenes from the Life of the Virgin Mary, arranged chronologically.
