Considered one of the best sports to view th Tagus river. One views Alfama, the dome of the Church of Saint Engrácia and the Church of Saint Estêvão. A couple of tile panels on the south wall stand out.

This is the first of seven still existing strongholds that were part of the so-called Nova Cerca (or Segunda Cerca) of town's walls. It is a poligonal stronghold with three canon places and a ramp, dating back to the 16th century.
