Also known as Termas de Sulfúrea, they are located approximately one kilometer to the southeast of the village. The pillory construction was ordered by Dom Manuel after the grant of the charter of Leitura Nova in 1521. Similar to other royal works of this time, here are also represented the arms of this monarch, armillary sphere and an iron Christ cross. After a troubled way, the pillory was rebuilt in the XX century accordingly to the original model.
