Martinhal Beach is located in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park and is known for its excellent windsurfing conditions. After crossing a dune with some vegetation, there is a vast stretch of sand, with a concession area and plenty of space. Walking to the left, with the sea in front, is Rebolinhos Beach. The rocks visible in the sea, 1,000 meters from the sand, are known as Martinhal Island. It is possible to reach it by swimming, but only with advance notice from the lifeguard.

Although the vegetation is getting old, the Choupal is still the most famous park in the city. It is here that you find the hippic centre of Coimbra and ride on horseback in this beautiful space.

The view of the Serra da Estrela mountain range is truly worth seeing.

The complex of Casas da Lapa, situated in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, offers eight double rooms, decorated with comfort and refinement. The houses, dating from 1832, were built in terraces, making the most of the land in the village of Lapa dos Dinheiros, about 700 meters above sea level. The cascade of Anchovy passes beside the houses, which are about three miles from the river beach of Ribeira da Caniça.

A park with 26 hectares, located at the top of Avenida da Liberdade. Its current configuration is by Keil do Amaral (1945). It has a central strip covered with grass, flanked by a sidewalk in Portuguese pavement. Here you can also find various sculptures, a viewpoint, esplanade and a lake. Also noteworthy is the Estufa Fria, with a great diversity of plants from various parts of the world. There is also the Carlos Lopes Pavilion, used for conferences and concerts.

Created in the 60s, it has about 38 thousand square metres. Totally surrounded by a wall, it is limited by houses, by the river, by the school and by the Park's dependencies. It belongs to the Direcção Regional de Agricultura de Trás-os-Montes (Trás-os-Montes Regional Direction of Agriculture). It is an excellent place to visit with family and friends. There are spaces where one can jog, play, picnic, enjoy the shade of wonderful trees, fish and even dive in the river.

It had profound refurbishment works under the Polis programme, and it is located right in front of Jardim do Paço and is another popular leisure spot. As part of this rworks, the space, which was once a farm with gardens, has given place to a very pleasant park with a large green area and in which water takes on a prominent place. However, some elements have been preserved, such as the pergola, a mass of cedars, the Mata dos Loureiros or the Porta de Roma.
