Pico Ana Ferreira is a group of irregularly shaped prismatic peaks, popularly known as "The Piano". Here you'll find the Pedreira viewpoint, from which you can see Ilhéu de Fora and the peaks of Facho and Castelo.

The square has strong connections with the Discoveries, this was the former sand-pit where the Real cais de Belém used to anchor. Now it is a gardened area, sided by quickset hedges and trees (nettle-tree and stone pine), lake and sculptures, with the Afonso de Albuquerque, vice-king of India, statue, manueline style, standing out. This garden presents also four statues created by Barata Feio, placed at the square corners.

Church of the former Franciscan Convent of Santa Clara, founded in the 15th century. At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, the city of Beja suffered extensive destruction of its heritage, and only the church, the cloister, the chapter house, and adjacent rooms survived from this former convent. The Gothic portal on the facade stands out, and inside, the gilded woodcarving and tilework are noteworthy. The Queen Dona Leonor Museum is now located within the convent.

This funerary basilica was located next to the Roman road connecting Mértola to Beja. This important monument was partially excavated in the late 19th century, and several funerary inscriptions were recovered from it, now housed in the National Archaeological Museum in Lisbon. Currently, it houses a museum where the foundations and floors of the former church are preserved. This museum contains inscribed stelae, which constitute the most important collection of Early Christian tombstones found in Portugal.

Bacalhoada restaurant is located in Portimão. If you don't like cod, don't even think about entering. Or rather, between, peek and maybe get a different idea of faithful friend. As the name implies this is a bacalhoeira from beginning to end of the menu. For starters, paté (€1,50), pataniscas (€ 2,50) and codfish cakes (€ 2,50). The following are soup (€ 3) and açorda de bacalhau (€3,50) and, in salads, of his own ("broth" € 4,50) and ROE (€6). If you are not satisfied with these suggestions, there are over 15 dishes ... bacalhau, including a paella (€12,50).

Course integrated into the International Douro Natural Park, passing by Lamoso and Bemposta. It is a pedestrian path with about 800 meters long, which gives access to a granitic slope where, during the winter, you can observe one of the largest waterfalls of Continental Portugal.

It is the second-highest peak on the island, with an altitude of 1818 meters. Access can be done by car, with a cafe and a hotel at the top. From the peak you can see a stunning landscape and, when the weather is good, you can see the neighboring island of Porto Santo.

This trail starts near the access to the Serra Branca Wind Farm, ending then in Praia. It crosses Graciosa Island from the west coast to the east coast, passing Pico das Caldeirinhas, the highest of the Serra Branca volcanic cones, measuring around 360 meters.
