The Museu Militar do Porto (military museum) is placed in a building dating from the end of the XIX century, where once ran the former PIDE-DGS (political police). It was open to public in 1980. The battle to win in this museum is to preserve study and disclose historical-military patrimony.

Museum opened in 1921, located in the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo, classified as a national monument. Here you can visit an extensive historical and artistic collection: Archaeology, painting, sculpture, liturgical vestments, sacred art and ethnography. Still has a room for temporary exhibitions.

Former Teatro Club, a building designed by architect Miguel Ventura Terra in 1908 and opened in 1911, this museum focuses mainly on two areas: ethnography and history. It features an Ethnography and Material Culture room, an Archeology and History room and the Azulejos room, where temporary exhibitions are held.

Church founded in the XVI century that was completely destroyed on a fire in 1651. It was rebuilt with the new drawing of the architect Marcos de Magalhães in 1676. In 1755 it, again, destroyed by another fire and only the sacristy survived. It was rebuilt and opened in 1785. The church has a single nave and main chapel.

Located next to the Assureira Bridge and to São Brás Chapel there is a water mill. This construction has a robust character and made of blocks from popular architecture. It possesses stone culvert, open that used to lead the water to the river by the land until inland. The devices for milling are presently destroyed.

Ancient Theatre opened in 1911, consisting of a longitudinal plan with two rectangular bodies and three floors. Worked as a theatre until the second half of the 20th century, when it became a spinning and weaving factory. In 1993, after restoration, was inaugurated here the Museum Municipal de Esposende.

The 2200 m2 of commercial area of the Edifício Penafiel (Building Penafiel) are divided by three floors and 33 shops. It stands out from the competition due to its parking for 49 vehicles and to its gymnasium. It is located near the centre and it is open from 9 am to 7 pm.

Located on Avenida da Liberdade, this shopping centre opened in early 2011. The project, designed by the architect Gonçalo Byrne, consists of four buildings, a comprehensive area of 32,000 m2 divided among 30 stores, six clinics, 20 luxury apartments, two restaurants and a supermarket.

Shopping Center with 3 floors, has a commercial area with 2000 m 2. Building built from scratch, with commercial, residential and offices. It has 28 stores and is located in the city centre. Is open between the 8:0 and 8:0 pm. No hypermarket, supermarket. With restaurants.
