It is also known as independence Palace. Is a valuable copy of the seventeenth-century civil architecture, with 16th century roots, in which stands out the gate, South facade, framed and superimposed a balcony of balusters to guarnecerem the central window, overmatched by the arms of Almada. Inside are two patios, with 16th century portals, taking the bottom two chimneys also 16th century.

An 18th-century palace with a façade bordered by two turrets and an entrance surmounted by a pediment rising above the cornice. The rhythm of the openings, wrought iron, stonework, and chapel are remarkable. The central section ends in a triangular gable with a coat of arms, and the rest of the façade features simple rectangular openings on the ground floor and bay windows on the main floor.

Time seems to have stopped in this beautiful renaissance garden, located at the Largo de São Domingos de Benfica. The most relevant decorative characteristics of this palace are the stucco and the glazed tiles. The Salad as Batalhas, that evokes the heroic exploits of the Conde da Torre, is in the limelight. The yard gives access to the Chape and Venus Garden and here is also the Casa de Fresco. In front is the Lago Grande (big lake) that accompanies the Galeria dos Reis.
