The Pena National Palace was built on the ruins of a Manueline convent and served as a summer residence for monarchs. This work perfectly combines neo-Gothic and neo-Manueline elements with Muslim and Indian elements. This combination accentuates, with the luxuriant vegetation of the Pena Park, its exotic and fantastic appearance. Inside, the ambience of a royal residence has been preserved.

An exceptional romatic architecture monument with a lush park that has about 200 há, currently a heritage of great international interest. Built where there used to be a 16th century convent, almost the entire manor stands on huge rocks and mixes several different styles (neo-gothic, neo-manuelin, neo-moorish, neo-renaissance, etc.). It has an adaptation of the window of the Convent of Christ in Tomar, as well as the remarkeble figure of the Triton. Inside, a special note to the magnificent stuccos, trompe l'oeil mural paintings and several 19th century tiles.

From this belvedere one views a wide canyon named Lugar das Penas, that houses several species of birds of prey.

Old windmill adapted, belonging to the set dos Moinhos da Pena. In full contact with nature, offers a beautiful view over the Serra de Aire. The mill has three floors, with a bedroom, a kitchen and a living room.

The Pena Cliff, on the parish of Benfeita, has a well known waterfall. It belongs to the Protected Area of the Açor Hill.

A belvedere at the Alto da Pena, one of the highest places in the Alto Minho region, with views of the neighbouring parishes, of the Minho river and of Galicia.

The Church of Nossa Senhora da Pena is on the right side of Terreiro da Alcáçova. Rebuilt during the reign of King João I, the chancel and portal are in Gothic style and the arch connecting the choir and the nave are in Manueline style.

Between Benafim and Salir, right in the ravines of the Algarve, Rocha da Pena is a place with a bleak landscape in a large plateau, about 2 km wide and almost 500 metres high. Of speological interest due to th existence of several caves, the Site is also extremely rich in terms of its fauna (namely, for their rarity, the buzzard and the Bonelli's eagle) and its flora (wild rose, wild orchid and marsh tea).
