The portal of the convent with monumental porch and portal padded Church flanked by two fluted columns, upon which runs an architrave. The interior of the Church is rich in tiles, paintings and carvings. Highlights also the coat of arms of infanta d. Maria on the cornice.

This is a granite pillory built after the Foral concession to the town in 1515, by D. Manuel I. In 1985 after a period of almost two hundred years in which it was in a place called Valeta, it was transferred to the present location but lost its subjection irons.

Situated in the historic village of Penela, the restaurant d. Sisnando provides an experience with unique delicacies of the regional gastronomy, where the recipes are sprinkled of tradition and creativity. The wine suggestion goes to the "Wine lands of Sicó". The castle of Mogadouro was donated by D. Afonso Henriques to the Templars and, a few years later, passed to the Order of Christ, its successor. Today, only two sections of walls remain, an isolated tower with rectangular faces and some scarce remains of carved walls.

The portal of the chapel is surpassed by the coat of arms of the Castros. Inside there is a single nave and the presbytery. On the lateral walls you may see six arches and rectangular windows over them. In this chapel is buried D. João de Castro, vice-king of India.

Pillory with a probable construction date of 1514, the year in which D. Manuel granted the town's charter. With an octagonal shaft and topped by a capital with a pyramid-shaped finish, it is decorated with a cross and heraldic symbols on two of its faces. The rest features the Cross of Christ.
