Library that assembles about 26 thousand volumes of the work of Dulce Ferrão, important journalist, writer and historian. This cultural space also has a complete bibliographic selection about contemporary Portugal, with special attention to the history of the 1st Republic, Estado Novo and Colonial War. Other works of reference about themes such as the French Revolution, the world wars or the great classics of national and foreign literature can also be consulted here.

This chapel is dated from 1672 and it is composed by two distinct bodies. The simple façade does not denunciate the artistic richness on its inside. Here it is possible to find one of the most important repositories of sacra art in the city and a joint of beautiful glazed tiles composed by historian panels from 1698 done by the painter Gabriel del Barco. The church body is covered by baroque carving and glazed tiles from the 18th century.

This Romanic church has a perfectly volte doorway and a rectangular main chapel, probably built by the Count Dom Henrique. The spontaneous vegetation, manifested in an extensive pine forest, is one of the attractions of this protected site. However, the interest in the place does not end there. At its summit, the chapel of São Bartolomeu, or São Brás, is a place of pilgrimage. Discovered in 1947, these are the largest caves in Portugal. They have a gallery/room/shaft configuration and their formation is due to erosion and tectonic changes. They feature underground lakes and rooms with beautiful limestone formations. They have two elevators and are 110 meters deep. Here lies the Great Lagoon, formed by the Rio Negro, an underground watercourse that, in winter, forms the Mira de Aire Lagoon. In 2010 it was classified as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal.
