A village composed of fishermen's houses where one may visit the Chapel of Our Lady of the Ondas (Waves) and the Quinta dos Cozinheiros (Cooks Farm). The craftswork includes embroidries, stain objects and ceramics.

Macieira de Alcoba is a typical village at about 18 km from the town of Águeda. Located on the high lands of the Caramulo mountain, between the Águeda river and the Alcofra brook, it includes the traditional Urgueira village (just a little more than 10 inhabitants), the highest villag in the parish. It is located on a rock, with just about 150 inhabitants that are mostly small farmers and shepherds. A typical mountain village of the Basto region that once was a municipal hunting area and recived its charter in 1514 from the king Dom Manuel. It has a pillory and the tower of the old House of Tronco, currently ruined. A special note to the Moinhos de reis belvedere, above the Barroso mountains.

Casal do Rei, a village of 150 inhabitants, mostly farmers and resin extractors, is located at 6 km away from Vide. Its architectural heritage includes the chapel that evokes Saint Joseph. The legend says that Domingos de Fugueiredo, a friar that escaped his convent, found refuge in this village and oredered the building of the chapel. This village stands out for its schist houses and for its communal ways of life (including the olive oil press, the oven and the mill). Nearby, there is a wood with vestiges of primitive vegetation.

Located on a foothill, it was important for the country's defenses during the independence struggles. It became a part of Portugal during the reign of Dom Dinis. Inside the walls, it still has its architectural geommetrical patterns, a bit unique in the Middle Ages. A special note to the ruined castle, classed as a National Monument, the church and the pillory. The local craftswork includes the manufacturing of chairs.

A small rustic village with one floor houses, built in massif moorish bricks. Surrounded by oliv trees and fertile lands with orchards, agriculture is its main activity. On the north side there are pinewoods.

This is one of the small villages of the Natural Park of the Estrela Mountain, at an altitude of 580 metres. Most of its inhabitants are farmers these days, even though the culture of linen used to be an activity until quite recently. The houses are made of granite, which is an architectural feature of this region. Nearby, one may visit the Caldeirão dam or practise mountaineering.

The romanesque church with ulterior details, the chapels of the Holy Spirit, Saint Pelágio, Our Lady of Conceição, Our Lady of Amparo, Saint Tiago, Saint Sebastian and Saint Catarina, the House of Saint peter, the custody, the 16th century houses and the fountains of Figueiredo and of the Rua da Fonte (Fountain Street) stand out.
