Caves discovered in 1971 that feature a gallery/room/shaft configuration. They have beautiful rooms and galleries filled with limestone formations, with a visitable length of 350 meters and a depth of 45 meters. There is an underground bar located in an adjacent cave, Cova da Moura, where there is a fully illuminated cave extending for about 50 meters.

A rural village with romanesque vestiges in the constructions. The Castro (a celtic village) of Santiago do Monte and the Parish Church of Nogueira da Montanha are located here.

This garden, designed by architect Sidónio Pardal, is one of the main green spaces in São João da Madeira. A very well-maintained and pleasant area, it runs parallel to Avenida da Liberdade and extends from the City Hall building to the bridge, reaching the Ul River and its banks. The garden connects to the Urban Park located along the valley traversed by the same river.

This is a section of a trans-European Pedestrian Route, which starts in Lisbon Parque das Nações and ends in the Romanian city of Constanza. This thing about 80 miles, starts in the igreja matriz de Idanha-a-Nova, passing through the dam, campsite, Alcafozes, Idanha-a-Velha, Penha Garcia quartz cliffs and Termas de Monfortinho, ending in Spain.

This trail starts on the concrete agricultural road between Ponta Delgada and Farol da Ponta de Albarnaz, ending in Fajã Grande. You will pass along paths lined with hydrangeas and several streams. Take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful views over Ilhéu de Maria Vaz, Ponta de Albarnaz and Ilha do Corvo.
