The Romantic Routes are formed by 5 thematic roads that aim to show a little of the contradictions that existed in Porto on the eighteen century, romantic and bourgeois, rural and industrial. The first road, "Porto do Romantismo", has the gardens of Palácio de Cristal as its starting point. The walk continues through the Entre-Quintas Street and, going round the Macieirinha Street you will find the atmosphere of an eighteen century suburbs, the place of election of the English who had their business on Nova

The pedestrian walk may start at the Monastery of Saint João of Arga, after a brief visit of that building. Follow the Vezeira Trail, a typical trail where the cattle used to pass in the days of old. The Arga Mountain has a wide high plain on the top, the Chã Grande. At that point, there is a trail that is signaled by the Clube de Celtas do Minho (Celts Club of Minho), according to the criteria of the Federação Portuguesa de Campismo (Portuguese Camping Federation). It is a small walk.

O nome deste prato está intimamente relacionado com o transporte de mercadorias, onde eram utilizados uns barcos típicos, de seu nome fragata, que acabaram por dar origem a um dos pratos típicos, a caldeirada à Fragateiro. Na sua confeção é geralmente utilizada a tainha, enguia, para além de outros peixes como a saboga, barbo, safio, cação e tamboril.
