Archaeological excavations carried out from 1997 onwards revealed the existence of a large Roman Villa with compartments paved in geometric mosaics. What is there is the equivalent of what is now called the Quinta. It was occupied until the middle of the 5th century, as the evidence on a brick found in the place where the sign of Solomon is engraved, shows. It is possible to find the houses of the slaves who worked in the fields and the communication routes so typical of the Romans.

The campsite of Valado, located in Nazareth, within walking distance of the sea and the beach, is a haven of nature, where you can rest quietly, far from the confusion. Presents excellent conditions for cycling or even walking while enjoying the stunning scenery of this area. Alternatively you have the possibility to visit the sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré, Archaeological Museums, ethnographic and religious art, among other attractions.

The Évora campsite, located two kilometres from the beautiful historic centre of the city of Évora, is a haven where you can enjoy moments of rest in full nature. Here you will have all the conditions to enjoy leisure activities or sports. Alternatively you can explore the historic centre of Évora and visit the Temple of Diana, the Cathedral, the Aqueduct of the silver Water, the chapel of Bones, among other attractions.

Camping Fetais is located where the countryside bliss meets the sea's agitation. Cape Espichel is one of Portugal's most historic and beautiful cape's. The Meco beach is mostly known for it's naturist tradition, feel free and relax in one of the most beautiful beaches of our national coast. About 8km from the camping you can visit Sesimbra where you can enjoy the many beaches and calm sea.

This is an important manor house composed by a tower made on the fifteen hundreds, to which in the XVIII century it was attached a two floors construction and on the same century another building was coupled, sided by two towers. The connection it is done through the stairs and the tower. On the inside it is possible to see the seventeen hundreds marks and design and a significant library. The classification includes The Avenue de Carvalhos (oaks) which is spread from the house until the river.

This was the first church to be built in Funchal. It is Gothic in style, with Moorish and Manueline influences. Ten Gothic arches connect the naves and natural light is provided by eight Manueline crevices in the chancel. In the Capela do Santíssimo, decorated in the 18th and 19th centuries style, you can appreciate a large painting from the 17th century that represents the Last Supper. There are two mechanical clocks in the tower that set the pace of life for the citizens and the city.

This is one of many existing ponds on the island of Flores. Belong to the set of Seven Lakes that were formed into seven volcanic craters caused by the eruptions that gave rise to the island. The remaining ponds of this set are the White Pond, Long Pond, a shallow lagoon, Lagoa da Lomba, Deep lagoon and the Lagoa Seca. Its name comes from its dark waters due to depth, which reaches the 100 meters.

Beach located ten minutes by car from the center of Funchal. It has three small sandy beaches and one pebble beach, called Arieiro. In summer it has a Blue Flag and is supervised by a team of lifeguards. It is an attractive place due to the sporting activities that are practiced there and the nightlife that it offers. It has three medical stations, WC, playground for children between 2 and 12 years old, parking and changing rooms.
