The Sanctuary of São Bento das Pêras, located atop the hill of the same name, at an altitude of 410 meters, is a pilgrimage site for thousands of believers. The religious festival honoring this patron saint of Vizela takes place on July 11th, with a procession and an open-air mass. It is a pleasant gathering place for the masses. Some also visit the site simply to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Vizela River valley.

Bioria, part of the Ria de Aveiro, is an area with a huge diversity of habitats that host a varied fauna and flora community. To protect this Natural Heritage, trails are being implemented along the seashores and the Salreu Tidal Creeks. The first is the Salreu Route, where you can admire the marshes and cultivated land, such as rice fields. The route is 8.5 km long and can be visited on foot or by bicycle, following the information signs.

Short walking route, suitable for walking or driving, integrated into the Douro International Park. With a length of around nine kilometers, it takes four hours on foot and one hour by car. It begins and ends at the Rural Interpretation Center, in the village of Bruçó, following paths through olive groves, among the cliffs of the Douro River. A village located on the foothills of the Sirigo mountain, that owes its name to the abundant aechaeoligical vestiges of the region, menhirs, dolmens and graves carved on the rocks. Mostly two megalithic monuments are worth a visit, the necropolis of Lareira de Cima and the menhir of the Valley of Maria Pais. The houses feature a regional architecture, with ornamented romanesque windows. A special note to the mother church and to the chapels of Saint Silvestre and of Saint Miguel as well.
