The farm is also known as "Quinta de Diogo de Mendonça", "Quinta do Visconde da Junqueira", " Quinta dos Côrte-Real" or "Quinta do Professor Lopo de Carvalho". Worthy of notice are the glazed tiles ashlars and the altar piece of Quillard inside the palace chapel.

This park was built by the Duques of Palmela around the year of 1870. It welcomed parties and bazaars and it is still the place of several cultural activities. It has an open air amphitheatre where symphonic orchestras, jazz bands, vocal groups and even theatre companies have performed. It has a lush, very characteristic vegetation. There are also fitness circuits.

The only covered area open to the public allows, in its 1187 hectares of forest, contact with countless animal species. The Cerco garden surrounds the building, covering an area of 8 hectares, and works as a transition element between the monument and Tapada de Mafra. The central pond, the water wheel and the small lakes are worth mentioning.
