Opened in November, 18th, 1997, the Forum Lisboa is a cultural space placed in the recovered cinema Roma working also as the permanent headquarters of the Lisbon Municipal Assembly. The cinema Roma, opened in 1957 and inactive since August, 1988, is now remodelled, it has a large playhouse equipped with the most modern screening technologies, sound and image. The Forum Lisboa has an auditorium where several cultural events take place.

This small, rectangular fort was built in the 18th close to the location of a previous fort dedicated to St Ignacio. This previous fort, located on a cliff, was destroyed when the cliff fell into the sea during the 1755 earthquake. This lead to the new fort being built further back than the one dedicated to St Ignacio. The presence of a fort at this site was necessary for protecting the tunny traps located througout the coast. The fort is now in ruins.

Archaeological excavations carried out from 1997 onwards revealed the existence of a large Roman Villa with compartments paved in geometric mosaics. What is there is the equivalent of what is now called the Quinta. It was occupied until the middle of the 5th century, as the evidence on a brick found in the place where the sign of Solomon is engraved, shows. It is possible to find the houses of the slaves who worked in the fields and the communication routes so typical of the Romans.

Caldas de Sangemil is home to the springs that gave rise to and led to the development of the thermal baths, now frequented by many people seeking well-being and treatment for various illnesses. Its river beach is also a popular attraction. Located on one bank of the Dão River, this river beach boasts a large stretch of sand and some trees and shrubs for shade. The route of Industrial heritage of Vale do Ave is a project conceived in the context of cultural tourism and travels 24 pre-industrial and industrial units, distributed by 8 municipalities of Vale do Ave through thematic pathways, suggests a visit to the testimonies of the most interesting men and machines created.

This route starts in the village and ends at Faial da Terra, with a duration of about three hours. Will the spout from the goats, forests of incenses, conteiras and cater, the viewpoint of the beak of the Goats, a pasture, the Watchman of the whale and the Fajã do Calhau. You can also visit the old harbour of the whale.
