The Mata Nacional dos Medos was sown by order of King Dom João V, in the 18th century, to pin the sands of the dunes that advanced to the agricultural lands. Classified as a Botanical Reserve in 1971, this ecosystem presents conditions for recreation and leisure.

Ample and refreshing space that allows pleasant walks through the garden area, or simply enjoy the view over the Tagus River. There is a route that culminates in a viewpoint, next to the elevator square.

The botanical garden O Chão das Artes is located in the surroundings of Casa da Cerca, one of the main cultural centers in Almada. When walking through the outcropped garden, it is possible to enjoy the magnificent views that the various viewpoints provide. In addition to the themed gardens - Pomar das Gomas, Jardim das Telas or Jardim dos Pintores - there is also a Greenhouse, which frequently hosts exhibitions, and an open-air amphitheater.

A green space of about 60 hectares, it has a wide variety of plant species, a lake with swans and mallards, shaded areas and a Monument to Peace, a sculpture by José Aurélio. It is the perfect place for those looking for quietness.

These thermal waters spring at an altitude of 560 meters, about 3.5 kilometers northwest of Almeida. The complex consists of a Balneotherapy treatment area, gyms, sauna, Turkish baths, massage rooms and a medical area. It is aimed at well-being and stress fighting, as well as the treatment of respiratory, skin, rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.

Garden with different types of trees and well-designed and arranged flower beds, interspersed with long cobbled corridors that invite you to take a walk. There is also a small café with a pleasant terrace. Even before the 17th century it contained important buildings such as the Hospital and Igreja da Misericórdia, and during the 17th and 19th centuries the Customs and Civil Government buildings were built here.

Although the works began in 1840, it was only more than half a century later that the Estoi Palace was completed. The garden of this last example of romantic architecture is characterized by the palm trees and orange trees that populate the two access paths to the garden space. Also, noteworthy is the lake and a gallery of busts.

A park with lush vegetation, plenty of tall trees, a "lung" of the parish, with several backup infrastructures and pedestrian trails in the forest area. It is equally the stage of several initiatives linked to several areas of socio-cultural animation.
