Building with political and administrative\/civil architecture, 17th century and 19th century times. What were the Municipal Town Hall during three centuries are now dwelling house with three floors. Present a cared for, Classicist and sober.

The former Compressor Center of the Algares Mine, now a museum. The building was constructed in the 1950s, and the compressed air plant began operating in 1952. In the early 1990s, it was decommissioned, leaving only the Compressor Center in the Moinho Mine building in operation.

Parish church dating back to 1550 and rebuilt in the 17th century. Features of mannerist architecture, and neoclassical revival. It consists of side chapels originally and now torn by a vaulted Dome, a ship with wooden ceiling and, abroad, a Bell Tower.

This museum is a cultural unit of the University of Minho, which created this space with the legacy left by Dona Maria Teresa Cardeal Andrade Martins Salgueiro, who passed away on October 29, 2001. This is a way to showcase the property and its contents, as well as to witness the lifestyle of an upper-bourgeois family in the Alto Minho region during the first half of the 20th century. In addition to the collection on display, it hosts a variety of events.

This Roman Theatre Museum, opened in 2001, shows what was the theatre of the ancient city of Olisipo. Is housed in a 17th century building, which has been refurbished over the centuries. The Museum encompasses multiple areas where you expose archaeological remains and traces which refer not only to the time of Theatre (1st century), but also for other traces which bear witness to an intense human occupation of this site.

A gymnasium which is part of the sports pavillion, witha great variety of body building machines in two rooms. It also has 2 squash courts.

Set of pools at the Quinta Magnólia. This farm, property of Madeira Regional Government, has also lovely gardens, four tennis courts and an athletics track.
