Built in the 13th century, the castle was rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries by Fernão Anes, master of the Military Order of Aviz. Of the castle's six towers, only three and a few sections of the wall remain, adapted for modern construction. Highlights include the Queen's Tower or Convent Tower, the Tower of Santo António, and the Tower of São Roque.

Built in 1323, presents the inside of a single nave covered by Mat ceiling and six altars. On the triumphal arch cut a cross of the order of Christ. In the side altars and the side altarpieces of gilt, end of the 17th century. In the epistle side is the Baptistry, with seventeenth-century stone font, and a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Piedade.

Fortress with a polygonal plan and four bastions. It has sloping and robust curtains. The well-vaulted, flanked gate, crowned by the royal shield and bell tower, faces the village. It was built during the reigns of Dom Pedro II and Dom João V, in the 18th century, in order to defend the coastal area from pirate attacks.

It is believed that the original temple was built in the 14th century or 15TH CENTURY by the order of Christ, dating the current church of 1694. Presents a longitudinal plan consists of a nave divided into three sections, a narrower chancel and a vestry and a Bell Tower adossados. Inside, the baptistery, the pulpit on the side of the Gospel and to the main retable of gilt national style.
