Museum opened in 1948, dedicated to popular arts and traditional workmanship, presenting a set of pieces that were present in the exhibition of Geneva, in 1935. The exhibition is divided by country districts, documenting the large variety existent in the country. The building was initially planed to welcome the Exposição do Mundo Português in 1940 and was later remodelled and adapted to its new functions.

Museum installed in the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, a popular Baroque style Church (1801). Factory property of the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist, illustrates the history of salvation, on the basis of a vast collection of paintings, pictures, pieces of furniture and jewellery, collected in several churches in the municipality of Campo Maior, representing the 16TH and 20th centuries.

The Municipal Museum of Viana do Castelo has the largest and most diversified collection of the so-called Portuguese "blue tableware", of the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the most important collection of Portuguese earthenware of the 18th and 19th centuries. It has also a precious collection of Indian-Portuguese furniture and several pieces of furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Former hospital ship, built in the Shipyards of Viana do Castelo in 1955. It currently belongs to the Gil Eanes Foundation, and has been open to the public since 1998. Here you can visit the bridge, the kitchen, the engine room, the medical office, the radiology office, the operating room, several cabins and some temporary exhibition rooms.

In this theater, in operation since 1999, take place the main cultural events of the city, from music to theater, through dance and poetry. It also organizes workshops, ateliers, temporary exhibitions and gatherings. There is also the "Canto do Teatro", a space dedicated to the memory of the former Teatro Viriato (Theatro Boa União), which operated between 1883 and 1960.

The Fonoteca Municipal do Porto (FMP) is a sound archive and a public space for music appreciation made up of the collection of vinyl records from the city of Porto. Music lovers will find here a representative archive of a large part of the record production in Portugal, records imported by international artists and works with non-musical content, such as poetry or political speeches.

Building built on the site where once existed the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, demolished in 1901 to make way for the construction of the current building. Opened in 1904, housing initially some public offices. After working as prison, Casa do Povo, finance and as Civil and commercial Registration, was inaugurated here the school of technology of Abrantes, in 1999.

This house, repaired in 1919, has luxurious interiors and a neo-Arabian yard with a fountain. This is a good example of a mannerist urban palace, characterized by a great sobriety and simplicity that reveals the usual social division of space. The exterior simplicity contrasts with the romantic exuberance at the interior. It is also known as São Luís da Pena or Pais do Amaral Palace.

These are the remains of an ancient Roman castle, built on a site overlooking the city. Of the original medieval fortress, only a few sections of the wall remain, some integrated into other buildings and not always visible. At the top of the walls is the Portas do Sol viewpoint, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the region and where it is possible to appreciate a work of urban art.
