João Branco Núncio, son of Earth, gives its name to this place of worship and tradition. There are two races of bulls that are held captive, one in June, at the time of the fair Pimel and another in early October, at the New Fair of Alcácer.

This fort was built around 1640 during the Restoration War. It features two bastions connected by walls. One of the walls has a staircase that leads to the upper terrace, where the lighthouse stands out due to its disproportionate size compared to the rest of the building. In the early 19th century, it underwent alterations to make it more militarily suitable.

Commissioned by Governor Duarte Sodré Pereira to defend that anchorage, this small fort was built in the early 20th century to replace an earlier 16th-century fortification dedicated to Saint Sebastian, which had been destroyed by a strong alluvial flood in 1803. It is a circular tower with a revivalist design, retaining the original Baroque inscription and coat of arms.

Also known as Fajã da Ponta Grossa, is situated between the Fajã Chã and Fajã das Funduras. The access is done during half way on dirt and on the other half, a shortcut that descends from Norte Pequeno, or, Alternatively, the paths of fajã da Crags. There are few homes and a few barns in ruins. Although not inhabited, the inhabitants of the North Small move up here to cultivate vines, potatoes, beans and pumpkins.

This Fortress construction is placed on the 18th century, even though some historians refer the existence of buildings previous to the Moorish conquest on the 10th century. It is said that Moreira do Rei owes it name to D. Sancho II who was here installed before leaving to the exile in Toledo. Placed at 800 metres high and surrounded by cliffs and rocks, only a few traces from this castle still exist today.
