Castelo de São Jorge

The São Jorge Castle was the cradle of Lisbon. 111 meters above the Tagus water level, the castle and the walls suffered several adaptations along the centuries. The present look is of one medieval construction, where there are still the ruins of the royal palace. It is a nice place to take a walk in the gardens or in the narrow streets inside the castle walls.
